The Moscow Op is a high risk gambit to discover which agency the Mole is in, by making direct contact with our penetration agent deep in the Russian intelligence services.
You travel to Moscow to avoid tipping people off, and have a series of interactions with the penetration agent. If all goes well, and the penetration agent is not compromised, you’ll know the Mole’s agency.
It’s an expensive operation (in Powerpoints) and but the potential payoff may make it worth the cost.
